I put in an application with a Government Agency (which shall not be named). This is sort of a dream job for me, and I figured what the hell, eh?

Well I got an email inviting me to take a couple tests and to submit a packet of info - things like a 5-12 page analytical paper, college transcripts, etc.

I just faxed that all off (they suggested that USPS/FedEx would delay things due to security screenings). So we'll see how it goes.

Pretty exciting stuff since I have determined I'm too old for the Combat Arms kind of jobs, fun as they might seem.

Well good luck. I'll give you the same advice that I have given to quite a number of people working there: .... If you buy a house in that area, make sure that you are well out of the flood plain.

Ah, good to remember. I'll make sure to check the FEMA maps when/if we get up there.
