I just found out that the project I was hired to manage just got preliminary funding to the tune of $500,000. This is the biggest project I've managed to date, and I'm pretty excited about it.

We also may have an infusion of extra cash from another project that came in under budget (the money is there, the department doesn't want to lose it).

I've spent the last couple of days working on firming up equipment and training requests. What a blast this is right now!

Just wanted to brag a little Wink

Well, things are still going good, but we're seeing a bit of creep in the project.

We are also looking at needing an overall departmental master plan, and I'll probably write a good deal of it. I've created several tools to see where we are now, and we're trying to get on top of that so we can go forward.

How's everyone else's work going?

Just a follow-up. Funding is still not 100% certain, but looks good. We're almost done with the RFP and should be evaluating responses sometime in October.

The wheels of government turn slowly, but they do turn.
