What's the best line?

I know, no corny, "Excuse me, I'm looking for my Medal of Honor" or "Did you hurt your head, because you look like you fell from heaven?"

So what's better, "Just let me ask you one thing, do you laugh out loud at movies?" or "Since we don't know each other, what did you do for your last birthday, just to help me get to know you?"

How about "The Breakup" where Vince Vaughn goes to the bar and explains to a hot chick two reasons why they tap glasses when toasting, then a lout comes by with a "How would you like me to crawl all over you?" line and she leaves with him immediately. Anyway, barring is sort of a sport, so it bears some comment.

way back in the day when i would do such things, i would simply hang out at the video machine (space invaders or centiped) and women would come over to play. we would play a game or two, have a drink, maybe dance a little (very little, i dance like a white boy)and then leave.........

We are the people our parents warned us about.

How about "Hi, my name is [name]. What's yours?" or "Hi, do you want to dance?"

Those always seemed to work for me back in the day. Of course, if you ask them to dance, you had better be sure *you* can dance. Otherwise you become just another funny story they tell their girlfriends.

Okay, take it from a chick's piont of view:
Yes we do like some of the corny stuff (at least I do). But the one thing that makes a guy stand out is his attention. If he is looking around at other chicks and chatting them up, I say "forgetaboutit!"
Also, with attention, if the guy's conversation is about trying to get to know you, he may be interested in more then just a one night stand.
And leave the huge ego at home. I go to this local bar and there's this one guy who'se ego and sense of humor is not healthy. I think a good sense of humor and manners, and compassion are a must. Got it?

Hey Jenna, did you fall from heaven, cause I'm missing my medal of honor. Or something like that.

Let me ask you this - if some guy came up to you and was obviously trying to be corny, would that be different than some loser who was dead serious about the line?
