I was just reading an article from the BestLife website on how to support your wife. One of the suggestions is to call her several times a day just to see how she's doing.
"Ok, hell, I can do that right now", I think to myself. Call her up and ask her how she's doing. "Ok" she says, "just waiting for [brother 1] or [brother 2] to call". hmmmm. Think quick, why would they be calling during the middle of the day. D'oh! Her mom is having surgery today. Me: Yeah, I was just calling to see how it went Wife: Well she's out of surgery, but not out of recovery yet. Me: Well, let me know when you hear something.
