do you find that in conversing with your significant other there is a definate difference in depth of information needed. i will recount a conversation i had with someone and she will get frustrated with me for not getting all this information that personally, i feel is unnecessary to me. or worse, when i get home from going out with the boys, she will get upset if i didn't ask about their upcoming vacation, or how their wives are doing or things like that. we tend to discuss other women, sports, things other than the daily minutia of life.
Hell yeah! There are often times when I come home from work and say that I did something, or talked to someone, and it almost gets to a yelling match since I didn't "give her the whole story".
I guess it's a guy/gal thing. I want the bottom line, and she wants the novel version.

I agree guys! But the worst for me is when I ask her a simple question (silly me) and I get an answer that uses 1000 words where 10 would have sufficed.

Oh yes, I know that well. I especially like it when we watch the same news story on TV, and then I have to answer "why didn't they say..." or something similar.
Sometimes it makes me laugh, but for some reason that doesn't seem to help the conversation along much.

That is a good way of summarizing it. I have overheard my wife, lovely woman that she is, discussing things with her friends. When they don't have any additional information, they just restate the same thing using different verbage. It works for them, but drives me nuts.
Welcome aboard by the way. We need some more people posting here.

Nope and nope. I am perfectly able to think with my brain. Oh, gotta go, Beyonce has a new video on VH1...
