My In-laws just spent some time with my wife while I'm away, and my father in law decided to jump in and knock out some things that I didn't get to before I left.

When the sawdust settled, he'd replaced 7 windows and a couple spark plugs. He didn't get the outside trim done on one window - he *claims* he left it for me, but I think he ran out of steam.

So I think I'm pretty lucky in the Father-In-Law department. How about the rest of you?

My father-in-law does things like that. I appreciate it. He's very handy, and retired so he often looks for things to do.

The definition of anxiety is having two cups of coffee and a bran muffin for breakfast, and then getting stuck in traffic.

You had better hang on to that guy, there aren't too many like him!!

Actually, I am fairly luck in that dept too. My wife's dad is deceased, but her 93 year old step dad is a great guy. He lives in Honolulu and drives in that heavy traffic like an attentive 30 year old. A lot of his relatives lived until they were 110 or more, so he still has a ways to go. He is very healthy and mentally very sharp. You would guess him to be a healthy 70 year old by his appearance.

My FIL is not all that healthy - a lifetime of dairy farming will do that to you. But his ailments are related to that - he is still lean and strong, so the modern aging diseases (like diabetes) aren't an issue.

But yep, he's a good one.
