The forum title says "The longest-running, most frustrating, most rewarding job you'll ever have"

What about spouse? Being a husband is even more frustrating and rewarding, for most of us it's even longer running than fatherhood.

Yeah, I'm bored, just my 2 Cents.

I'd say that they're about equal. One thing that I've noticed about fatherhood is that once the kid is out of the house, your frustration levels go down a bit but don't disappear by any means.

And anyway, isn't spouse an easy job? Just say "yes dear" to everything and you'll skate through it just fine. Wink

You're probably right, I just can't do the "Yes Dear" thing very well.

I could rant here. Why should I have to do the "Yes Dear" thing??

So she wont' get mad???

Emotional extortion, it's a monster, if you feed it, it doesn't get satisfied and go away, it just hangs around and gets hungry again and again and again...

I think both are equally tough. I often tell my wife and kids that they are equally contributing to my high blookd pressure and grey hair.

I'd have to say that the "father" role is much more frustrating than the "husband" role. But after 24 years of marriage, I guessed I've learned more about the "husband" role, so it's easier. Smiler
