Has anyone submitted a comment to the Hero Dad column?

Do you all have any great "Being a Dad" tips? Half the time I sure don't feel like a hero to my son, but maybe that's just me.

I think the best tip one can give is to be there to pick them up when they need it, and kick them in the ass when they need that. I ahve a friend who has a stepson. The son was recently arrested and the real Father and Mother are bending over backward to tell the kid it was not his fault (there is no doubt he was at fault) and be his friend instead of his Parent.

We are the people our parents warned us about.

A hero dad for me, is the kind of dad who always manage to have time for his family. Not just always being there but see to it that he takes his part as being a father. For an instance, you need to be there for your child one at a time. Although your not always with him/her but still you manage to have a meaningful time for your children.
My father is a hero for me, he manage to have a quality time for our family. A typical man of the house, doing stuff that can make your home a nice one to live.
As a matter of fact there is no kind of tips to become great as "Being a Dad"... Actually, it come from yourself.

I disagree with your last sentence, sort of. If there were no tips to becoming a great dad, or for anything else, this forum would be useless.

The fact is we can all learn from each other.

Oh, and please place your (spam?) links in a proper sig - I don't like having to trim them out of replies.

What I mean is, you don't have to ask for a tips for becoming a great dad to your kids. Just simply have a quality time for them. Being a father should come within yourself, if your responsible enough as a father you don't have to know all the tips as being a great one. Why not ask for some ways in dealing with your child?

I apologize for that links, but please don't delete it below. This is just our company sites. Some sites thought that were spamming but were not. Sorry for the inconvenience that I've caused you...

Thank you!
