Done any home improvements? A couple of years ago I built a free standing deck on a part of our back yard that was an eye-sore. We use it quite a bit now. Also refinished the wood floors in two rooms.

Anyone else?

Built a deck in the backyard 16 years agon, just re-built the underpinnings again. Also built a few small fences and gates to divide the yard up. And a retaining wall, 100' feet long across our backyard, it's a long planter box, when we first bought the house 17 years ago.

Very very few plumbing or electrical projects that I will tackle, gotta leave those to the experts, usually.

I've done some plumbing (ran a new line for our washer for instance) and some electical (when we remodeled part of the house I put in some new outlets). For more major stuff, I'm all for letting the pros do it.

Our house is pretty old (around 100 years), and has had a bunch of additions put on over the years. I'm thinking of re-shingling one of the additions this fall. Also going to replace some facia and soffits. Maybe a window or two as well.

Anyone else?
