The wife and I will be on our own this Thanksgiving. With my grandparent's now gone, there doesn't seem as much desire for everyone to get together.

Mom will be at my brother's in St. Louis, my Aunt's will be with their kids or in-laws, son will be at his mom's, etc.

Should be nice and relaxing. I plan on watching football and enjoying time with my wife.

What are everyone else's plans?

I will be spending the day at my in-laws. It's the one holiday each year where we don't gather with with my side of the family, as they will all be togther at my brother's place.

One of my son's won't join us this year, and we aren't sure about the other one due to his work schedule.

It's usually a pretty decent time, although this year may be different as my wife's sister is battling cnacer with a grim prognosis. I'm hoping for a decent couple of football games to distract me from the other stresses of the day.

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys!

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent it with my in laws. We left here on Wednesday and came back today. It was very relaxing! I read two books, ate, slept late got to relax and not worry about my kids! Also got some Christmas shopping out of the way.

Mine was good too. Had a nice quiet day at home. My wife cooked some ham and we had potatoes and salad on the side. We also had some non-alcoholic Cabernet Sauvignon. A bit too dry for our tastes, but still not too bad.

Went shopping on Black Friday. Not too crowded in the stores we went to.

You know what they say - the family that drinks together stays together (or something like that).

You're right, Walt, they love to get together and drink, especially my wife and her dad; her mom isn't in the best of health, she has really reduced her drinking. Plus that way she can justify her anger when he gets drunk, it's an oft repeated scene.

I have a few but not like I used to, it's just not as fun anymore, with the hangovers being worse. But I'm by no means a teetotaler Razzer

We're renting an RV to go to the beach, park next to my brother-in-law's RV, for 4 days at New Years. Should be a hoot. Wink
