Yes, I would agree that the economy is not doing bad. Tax policy is still horredous.

Iraq is a mess, no doubt.

The war on terror (WOT) is apparently going well - that is we haven't had an attack on US soil since 911.

the WOT is non-existant in my humble opinion. Iraq has absolutly nothing to do with our terrorist probple. We should have stayed in Afghanastan and finished the job. We still need better communication between law enforcement areas, port security, airline security is still lax in areas. Throwing people of middle eastern descent into prison with no chance at lawyers and tourtouring (sp)them does nothing.

The biggest problem with voting Dems into office is that they have yet to propose anything that would resolve the problems in Iraq. And I just can't see the benefits of having Speaker Pelosi.

The democrats have proposed segregating Iraq into four autonoumous regions. These religious factions have been fighting for centuries and the fresh air of democracy will do nothing to stop it.

As for me, I'm voting Libertarian.

I don't know if you can tell but I am voting democrat. does Kansas have libertarian candidates running for national office? This may seem hard to believe but bill clinton and al gore did the most to actually reduce the size of the federal government.

Actually, I will vote the candidate, not the party, and I hope that you and everyone else on the forum does the same. Straight party line voting corrupts the system as much or more than money, IMHO.

Libertarians do have several candidates in races here. I will vote for re-election of our (Dem) Governor and for the Dem candidate for AG. I will also vote for re-election of our (Rep) Representative even though there is a Libertarian running. Our rep has done a number of things for me personally that have helped me with some VA stuff and supports a lot of the issues that my wife and I do. So he will continue to get our support.

If I lived in Jim Ryan's (sp) district I'd vote Dem though. That guys a little too Religio-can for me.

especially here in massachusetts, there has never been much of a difference between the two parties once they get into office. Probably the biggest mistake we made was electing our current governor Mitt Romney. His Lt Governor is running now, and I have a hard time voting for her because I tie her into his achievements. I also vote the man/womean and not the party. but this year, I am really fed up with the republican majority and want to see them go away.

Mitt's been mentioned as a contender for the Republican Presidential nomination in 08. What's your beef with him?
