I think it would impact the game more if you did it for real, unless you've got some sort of voodoo thing working for you Smiler

i would agree with you. but i figure the patriots may have video of the defensive coordinators signals and will use them to their advantage (i am sure the colts have the same)

Brett Favre does it again! I keep waiting for the Packers to self destruct, but it looks like they may be for real.

I would love to see the big Colts/Pats showdown this coming weekend, but it's my youngest son's birthday. Wife and I are going with son and his girlfreind to the Vikings game. I haven't been at a pro game in several years so it could be fun. But, since my hapless Vikes are facing the surging Chargers, it may be a dissappointing day as well.

I rarely watch football, but New England sure did a job on the Redskins. I almost felt sorry for them, no wait, I don't.

Well, the mighty Chiefs take on the Packers this week.

The interesting thing, to me, about this game is that Favre has never beaten the Chiefs. In fact, I think that it's the only team he hasn't won against.

Hey guys! I have to brag just a little bit. I was at the history making Vikings game this Sunday. Adrian Peterson is the best thing to happen to this team since Fran Tarkenton!

Considering this team now has a 3-5 record, you would have thought by the atmosphere in the dome that we were in a playoff game. Amazing!

I was hoping the Colts would knock the Pats off of their high horse but that wasn't meant to be I guess.

LKS - Sorry about the Pack trouncing your Chiefs. I guess Favre and the crew are for real too!

Well, I know better than to make a lunch bet on this game with an Army guy. In Korea, I won a "You Buy Lunch" bet on this game. My idea of lunch was a trip to the club. What I got was a MRE tossed on my desk, but I'll expect to send you a condolence post on Sunday.

Well, your midshipmen did a good job today. They are having a heck of a season, no doubt about it.

Although it hurts me to say it, here it is: Go Navy!

LKS,

You are a Gentleman. Actually, I wish that the Navy had started sending in their 2nd stringers much earlier. Even getting to play in this game is a big deal to these kids. I always get a kick out of them. Besides once you have clearly won, beating the other guys up too bad isn't good in my view as a Grandfather.

P.S. I spent enought time with the Army that I did get an Army Metal awarded to me. I spent the rest of my career explaining that "no I was never in the Army, I just had two good tours with them."

Yep, piling up the points is bad form IMHO, but with the BCS "style points" thing I think it is here to stay.

I only did one mission with another service, the Air Force, but all I got out of it was a Letter of Commendation (still good for promotion points though).

Well guys - it really looks like the Pats and the Colts are the cream of the crop. The Cowboys and Packers are very good teams on the NFC side, but I really don't think either team could go toe-to-toe with the Pats or the Colts.

By the way, has anyone noticed that my once pathetic Vikings have worked their way back into the playoff picture? Looks like we have a real shot at the 2nd wild card spot. I would consider it to be a huge success if this team makes the playoffs. A few short weeks ago I had resigned myself to hoping for a 6 win season. Now, we're the talk of the sports shows.

That is good news Chief. Looks like the Chiefs (no relation) are on track for a high draft pick for next season.
