A best life article once said that we should pass on to our kids a deep hatred for a team. I havae passed on a hatred of the Yankees. What say you.

I'm proud to have passed on a heritage of Raider Hatred to my son.

Definitely going with Raider Hater. 2 reasons:

1) I grew up in Denver.

2) I live in the East Bay (SF Bay) and the fans are ridiculous. Besides the costumes and makeup, they lick pictures of Al Davis' balls ever night.

I grew up in Michigan and like everyone else, I am a very hardcore Detroit Red Wings fan. Though I should teach my daughter to hate the Montreal Canadiens or any other "Original 6" team, (only due to tradition), I have taught her to hate the team everyone loves to hate; the Colorado Avalanche. Why you might ask? Where do I start? Lets just say people like Claude Lemiuex and Patrick Roy. Enough said.

In God we trust, all others are suspects.

I think a hatred of the raiders must be a nationwide epidemic. even though i live on the east coast, we also don't really like the raiders.

regarding the nhl, our biggest rival and thus we hate are the canadians.

They really are pathetic. I went to the Broncos game in Oakland last year; they still announce the team as the Winningest Team blah blah, even though they haven't won a Super Bowl in more than 20 years.

The fans, for the most part, are people who grew up when the Raiders were good, and they won't let go of the memory, just like they won't recognize that face makeup and getting stupid drunk is funny when you are in your 20's but in your 40's and 50's it is nothing more than pathetic.

Broncos kicked their butts, I was the only one in my sectin wearing an orange shirt and yelling for the Broncos.

The Raiders fans were booing their own team by the second quarter...funny as hell.

So the Raiders ARE America's most hated team. So, where to the Yankee's fall in the hate spectrum?

while i feel the raiders are hated around the country, the yankees are hated more. imho, most real baseball fans hate the way the yankees throw millions of dollars around to try and win another world championship. yes other teams do spend much for the same goal, but not to the extent of the yankees.

I agree, Yankees are more hated than the Raiders. Mad Mad

The Giants are among the most hated-of course for B. Bonds, Mr. Steroids, 21st Century. This from an informal poll in a recent MLB forum.

So wasn't Sunday night's game just a hoot?? Raiders lose 27-0 at home on opening night.

I really believe that one can make money this year by always betting against the Packers. Add the Raiders to that list.

Didn't I read that a sidelined receiver (Porter?) laughed when his own QB got sacked. He and TO need to get paid $0 for a year or two just for being asshats.

I have a hard time betting against the Packers only because I have nothing but respect for Brett Favre(although he is getting old!!)

He is a certain Hall of Famer. But he needs to hang up the cleats already.

Yes, the man is getting old and isn't quite the player he was.

So, will they beat Detroit this weekend?? Lions fell hard last weekend, it's tough to pick a winner between the two.
