...about 60 lbs more than when I first met her.
It's just one of those things, for both of us really, neither of us can stand the way she looks naked. She tries to control her weight, she isn't gaining, but she isn't losing. I have never dated heavy women, now I'm married to one. She has a very sexy demeanor, but then, well you know.... I've tried to get her to quit alcohol because it kills her chances of losing weight, but no luck there. Am I just stuck? :O ?:| P.S. Please don't tell me to just ignore it, I can ignore 10-20 lbs as well as the next guy, but 60+ gets to be a lot of hanging sag, you know? Of course, I sound like a heartless self-center SOB, but c'mon what if you were in my shoes? I mean, she was sooo damn attractive when we met, then...and now this. HELP!! This is all I know about the Doc:
Dr. Mario Alonso Psychologist, Ph.D. Office 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. Suite 2400 Allentown, Pennsylvania 18103 Contact Information phone: (610) 437-2277 fax: (610) 437-4094 web: www.mcasynergy.com Email me " I'm a therapist with over 25 years experience helping individuals, couples, families, and organizations. In all these situations, a shift in perspective, a different way of thinking and looking at a situation, can lead to major change and reward. Helping reach that new insight is the goal of my work. As an executive coach, I consult with HR and senior management on employee relations, management issues, organizational change, and leadership development. I especially enjoy working with family businesses. My original training is psychoanalytic but I've learned much from other points of view, and of course from my patients. I've published numerous articles and serve as a contributing editor for Rodale's Best life, a spin off Men's Health magazine, and have a regular column, "Ask the Head Coach". Another monthly column, "Dear Corporate Shrink", is written for the Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal. I use my Hispanic origins and bilingual ability to understand diversity issues surrounding patients, transplanted Hispanic executives, and even underperforming professional athletes. My training, professional and life experience, and what I learn from all the clients I encounter allows me to assist you in your circumstances. " Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult -- please don't hesitate to: email the therapist(s) or send these details to a friend now. I'm not the Doc Rocky (I can call you Rocky, can't I), but I wonder if you could start doing physical stuff together - like cycling or something as well as starting to eat a healthy diet. Maybe set some goals as a couple, like we'll do a 5K walk by September or something. Of course, if she doesn't see it as a problem, nothing you do will likely change her.

She used to walk on an almost daily basis, 2-3 miles a day, but she can't seem to control her intake-food and booze. She is really pretty good about food, except that while she eats little during the day, she overeats somewhat at dinner, and a couple of drinks is enough to really slow her metabolism down. Plus she is an impulsive person, wants to see quick results, and if nothing happens for 4-5 days, she feels like it's not working. Or she will say "I'm gonna diet during the week, but I deserve to enjoy the weekend."
I tried to get her to see that this was a problem 12-15 years ago, and told her that it would get harder to shed weight as she got older, but no one wants to hear that kind of thing, especially from their spouse. I know that there is a solution to this but I cannot find it. X-( Rocky? Like a flying squirrel? I dunno, rather stick with "rockhead"- a combination of 2 things I like. |

Besides that, "Rocky" is the guy who posted in March that he was in limbo, couldn't figure out what jeans fit his ass, didn't know where to meet women, etc.
No, I'm not "Rocky" X-( :O B-) |
