i gotta say that i have been impressed with the coverage i have received this year. nbc has all those different channels and i have watched a wide variety of events and not always with americans in them (i have gotten so that with many events i root against the us team!)yesterday i watched germany and the netherlands in mens field hockey.

I agree. The coverage this time has been excellent and it was good to see events that featured countries other than our own.

Do you think that the Chinese cheated with the ages of their female gymnasts? It would be incredibly stupid if they did.

Very good coverage actually. I have enjoyed the boxing and swimming more particularly. I did find the women's marathon intriguing also. Don't care too much for gymnatsics, but I think that's more do to the announcers than the sports itself.

Seems that I remember conversations alot like this about the Russians and East Germans back in the 70's and 80's. My own opinion is that even if they are "cheating" it makes beating them even more sweater.

What catches my interest the most this time is that there seems to be more ungracious(sp?) winners than ever this time. Showing boating, throwing medals, hitting refs... things like that. IMO the Olympics are suppose to be the best of the best "ameatures" each country has to offer. Part of that equation is SPORTSMANSHIP. Let's face it even if you take every athlete that ever competed in the olympics it is a small percentage of the population. be proud your there and make the best of it.
