Well, I let the wife talk me into trying a "Hot Rock Massage" yesterday instead of the regular monthly Swedish massage that I try to get. Save your money if you are ever tempted. I always have enough sore muscles from my weight lifting that diverting any "massage time" into messing with those rocks is a waste of time. I do understand, now, why the wife likes them so much since it was very relaxing. For most men who are dealing with sore muscles, I think it is a bit of a waste.

I've never had a professional massage. Always been a little embarrassed about it for some reason.
I spend a lot of time convincing my wife why she needs to give me massages. She got so tired of it, she bought me one of those fancy message chairs a couple years ago. Works pretty well really. I guess if I ever do go with a "real" message, I will take your advise and skip the rocks! |

Is that one of the types that you see in airports these days? The ones that I have to shoo my wife out of so that I can get a turn before we have to catch a plane. I like those, but mt wife doesn't think that it would fit in with the "decor." They cost a small mint. How long did you have to work on your wife before she agreed to getting it? |

My wife goes to a massage therapist every week (fibromyalgia), and once and a while I get a massage too.
It is pretty nice - my back sometimes has some issues (though not very much these days) and when it does the massage helps a lot. -- "No job is beneath a man's dignity as long as it is honest and supports his family" - my grandfather http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/bestlife |
