Royals beat the A's twice in a row.
Their first road victories of the year. Wasn't there some kind of huge celebration in KC?? Then they fired their GM. :O :O A's fans were mighty upset, still are. If I were you, I'd make some noise about it...gotta live for those few good moments, don'cha? |

Yeah, it was great they won a couple on the road. Too bad it wasn't against the Yankees.
I'm hopeful on the new GM. There was an article on the KC Star's website talking about how the Royals haven't had a clear plan in years. Moore helped build the Braves into a pretty good team, so I'm really hoping that the ownership lets him work without interfering. -- "No job is beneath a man's dignity as long as it is honest and supports his family" - my grandfather http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/bestlife |

The game was great, the stadium was super too. By springing for the most expensive seats ($10) we got to order food from our seats and have it delivered back to us. We were 5 rows back from the visitors dugout on the first base line. Not too bad for the money.

Incredible prices-$10.00?? And they brought your food to you?? In Oakland, they will only bring your food if you are in the "Diamond Bar" section, which are more than $100.00-yes, $100.00-per seat per game. Sounds like you had a great time.
On another note, Stanford played its best baseball of the season, managed to advance in the college playoffs, and now have a super regional series against Oregon State, which lost only 14 or so games all year. How about Wichita State, did they advance? |

Yep, $10 (and parking was free). I've become a big fan of minor league ball and will probably take in a few more games this season.
As to the Shockers - "Wichita StateÂ’s (46-22) season came to an end at the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners (44-20) Monday night in the championship game of the NCAA Norman regional." -- "No job is beneath a man's dignity as long as it is honest and supports his family" - my grandfather http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/bestlife |

Parking was free???
In Oakland, where you can take the local mass transit to the stadium, parking is $14.00! :O X-( Mass transit is about $7.00, but even if there are two going, it makes more sense to give the money to the mass transit system than the greedy baseball owners. Free parking...that only happens at shopping malls here. But Stockton, which is 25 minutes away , has a new stadium and an "A" team; I should go and check it out, see if parking is also free. Too bad about Wichita State, sounds like they gave it their all, got to the final against the home team and lost. :_| So now you're a Wranglers fan, eh? Whose farm team are they? |

They're a Royals farm club, Double A. I'm also thinking about checking out the National Baseball Congress World Series in July/August. It's always held in Wichita at the same stadium that the Wranglers play at.
And yep, I'm now a Wranglers fan, big time. -- "No job is beneath a man's dignity as long as it is honest and supports his family" - my grandfather http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/bestlife |
