I literally grew up 3 miles from the 49ers summer training camp when I was a teen. So there is no discussion about my favorite football team. I have found that my interest in certain sports has waned over the years. I have always bonded to baseball, but have been less enthusiastic lately with the issues that it is having. I'll watch the 49ers still, and Colts, in football but don't about too much after them. I have never liked basketball. I am finding though, on Saturday mornings, myself getting up and watching the English Premier football matches. Soccer is starting "to grow" on me.

When I was a kid one of the local stations would have German soccer on on Sundays. I really liked it, but it was really hard to find info on the rules, etc. Now that it's popular, I find that I'm less interested. Probably because it's not exotic any more.

Basketball is a plague on mankind (Sorry John) Big Grin

Hey, I freely admit that I suck at roundball. But I also know that bball players are insufferable jackasses (present company excluded, of course).

I also admit that while I don't care much for basketball, attending a game at Allen Fieldhouse (at KU) is an amazing experience. Of course it is like the Vatican of Basketball, so that makes a difference I suppose.

Back to favorite sports (instead of least favorite).

At the high school through Olympic levels, I love Wrestling (a sport I lettered in in High School). At the college level, I like Football and (yerck) Basketball (somewhat).

I kind of have a love/hate thing with pro sports. I enjoy watching Football and Baseball, but can't stand the majority of players. Most are overpaid drug adicted wife beaters, and not really the type of guys I hang with, ya know?

I have enjoyed Olympic sports over the years, but more specifically the Olympic weightlifting events and boxing. I find it disappointing that NBC refuses to show these on a regular basis, in lieu of endless hours of gymnatsic compulsory routines and equestrian events.

I much prefer Basketball or Football and even then I don't watch that much of it. I'll also take College or even High School games over the pros any day.

There was a time when I played and watched basketball as much as I could. I was big into the NBA, and followed college hoops as well. Expecially the NCAA tourney. I haven't watched much b-ball the past couple of years. Seems like the personality has gone out of the game. I loved Jordan, and when my T-Wolves were competative with KG and his supporting cast, I rarely missed a game.

I still follow pro football closely, and try to catch every Vikings game as well as most of the Sunday and Monday night games on TV.

I like baseball, but mostly as a "radio" sport. I can listen when I'm doing something else. Moves a bit slow for me to watch much on TV.

I really enjoy the Olympics when they are going, both summer and winter.
