Hey, since I have plenty of free time (on weekends), I've been hitting the beach at the massive Strom Thurman lake.

Today I took along my latest BestLife magazine and a collection of Hemingway's Nick Adams stories.

What, if anything, do you guys take along to read whilst relaxing at the beach (and for the record, I do check out the beach babes as well)?

How is the bass fishing at the lake this year?

You know, I'm not much of a fisherman - I don't care for fish as a food, so I don't quite see the point in catching them.

That said, I have some buddies that are really into fishing. I'll have to ask them later how the fishing is over there.

Right now I'm reading The Dark Tower by Stephen King. It's pretty good, even though I haven't read the previous six books in the series.(I've heard it already believe me!!!) I'm not much on the beach, even though I live at the Jersey shore. Might bite the bullet and take the family one day...The wife will be so surprised and happy!! The bikinis won't be bad either!!!

I just finished reading Inside the Third Reich by Albert Speer. Not a beach book. Anything by Carl Hiaasen would be excellent, Dave Barry has some "light fiction". Hemingway is good. On the train to Sacramento last week I read "Live and Let Die" and "Moonraker". (Nothing like the movies, thank goodness.)
