The leafs are falling from the trees, the birds are flying south for the winter, women jogging in sports bras are being replaced by bulky sweatshirts-winter in coming and so do what we do for play. what does everyone do for winter fun.

Believe it or not, we actually do more camping in the winter than in the summer.

I think that now that the weather is cooler, I'll be more likely to run regularly. The heat is murder when I run in the summer, so I don't do it very faithfully.

For the first time in my time as a boy scout leader we have a campout planned for adirondack shelters during the late fall early winter. It should just be cold and no snow (although look at Buffalo yesterday).

Hey John, doing anything fun this winter? It has been so warm here that our roses have started to leaf out.

Of course, 90 miles west got 36 inches of snow the other day, so you never know when you'll get it.

Folks that like to cross-country ski around here are really getting the shaft this year.

My family and I plan on doing some snowshoeing in February in Central VT. Of course it all is based on them getting some snow.

The campout that I mentioned above had a very memorable moment. After spending weeks telling the kids not to forget things, the scoutmaster (this writer john1520) forgot his sleeping bag. Mercifully one of the fathers had a summer one in his truck atha i used with some blankets I did pack for the kids who needed them.

We finally got some snow last week - about 8 inches total. Even had to get the tractor out and clear the driveway (it's about 150 feet long, so the snow shovel is not an option). Ya know, cruising around on a 4WD tractor in the snow is kinda fun.
