Well I finally surrendered to the fact that the hair on the top of my head has thinned to the point that trying to do a traditional "part" is now a lost cause. I went down to the barber and got a "buzz" cut. Oddly enough, the improved "balance" makes it less obvious that I'm pretty thin on top. The last time that I volunteered to have a buzz cut was over 55 years ago when I was 10. There was of course, the Navy, who scalped me in 1960 as part of the bootcamp experience, but that is another situation entirely.

I am still getting used to the guy staring back at me in the mirror, and I've noticed that the sides of my head are a little colder than they used to be. I might have picked the wrong time of year.

Has anyone else gone this route yet? My wife seems to like it.

High and tight bud, high and tight. That's the Army way. And it works well for us thinning types.

I wonder what kind of haircuts spammers get? I know of an older American Indian technique that might be appropriate.
