I am all for breaking records, but this recent heat wave that hit SC was a bit much. One of the records going back to 1897 was broken and another going back to 1867, or just a couple of years after the Civil War. I measured the Heat Index on my patio at 124 F; the temp out there was 112. The official temp was 108 at our nearest airport..
So why are the Canadians holding all of the cold air up there? Did we piss them off? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pecos, |

I was just up at AutoZone and the bank next door read 102. I've been outside all day working on installing a base plate on my Saturn so that we can tow it with the RV. I saw that and am now sitting in the A/C indoors. If you are wondering about the Canuks, just wait until winter. If they're really pissed they'll send all that cold air down then. -- "No job is beneath a man's dignity as long as it is honest and supports his family" - my grandfather http://ma.gnolia.com/groups/bestlife |

Well at the rate they are holding it, they'll have plenty to freeze us with.
