How about diet. Do most of you eat a healthy diet or are you like a majority of americans who eat a high fat/high closeterol feast.

So what is a good diet? Low fat usually means high sugar. Low sugar/carbs means high fat (usually).

I'm cutting carbs, but mainly due to a family tendency toward diabetes. Replacing that source of energy with lean proteins like low fat cheese, beans, and lean meat.

Men's health magazine had a thing on portion size a while back.

Basically you take your plate and divide it in half. In the top half you'd put your veggies, fruits, salads, etc. Now divide the bottom half in half. On one side goes your protein (meat, etc). On the other goes your carbs (whole grains, etc). No piling it on deep, just one level of food.

No diets, no calorie counting. Easy portion control.

My wife has gotten serious about getting some weight off me, so we've been eating much better.

This is a tricky time of year guys, don't let the holidays derail your good eating habits. I know I'll be extra careful on Thursday to avoid overeating.

I went for a physical in May and discovered I was 13 pounds lighter than I was 2 years ago. Since then I've lost another 12 pounds. All I did was cut out most of the junk food and soda. I also walk or do the treadmill and some free weights. I used to weigh 205, now I weigh 175 and feel great. I'm down toa 34 waist and may be able to go to a 33 soon. Everything in moderation guys. Happy Thanksgiving!

I managed to not only not gain weight over Thanksgiving, we went shopping and got me some new dress pants for work. Note that these new pants are 2 inches smaller in the waist. Cool The pants I was wearing were getting very baggy.

I also need new jeans - the ones I have now are so big on me that they nearly fall off of me.

Now if I can make it through the rest of the holidays still losing weight.

Never been to Ludlow, but spent some time in Worcester and too much time in Leominster. Ah, the memories.
