Is mastrubation acceptable if your spouse isn't in the mood?

That is something you have to discuss with your spouse. I know of some people that live, 100%, with the belief 'you'll go blind!'.

I believe that, when alright with the spouse, there shouldn't be any problems with masturbation. I cannot see a spouse considering masturbation to be 'unacceptable' when the other options for sexual gratification are much worse.

Surely you're kidding. What guy dosen't masturbate, married or not? It's more of a guy thing and wives don't necessarily have to approve....don't you agree?

rod,

I honestly think it depends on the couple and their communication on the topic. Perhaps one couple is totally open about their sexual activities to each other while the other is not. I assume as this was posted on here, the topic has never been brought up in their relationship...and as such he doesn't know how to approach it.

Different couples...different terms.

What are the chances that your wife is pleasuring herself without your knowledge? You might be surprised.

A little self-love can actually improve your sex life with your wife. You can practice prolonging climax and experiment with what feels good. Sometimes I think you just have to focus on yourself with no pressure or concern about whether it is "good for her too."

As for your wife, my wife's enjoyment of our sexual relationship has increased dramatically since she "came out" to me about her solo love life. I think knowing that I know has made her more comfortable about masturbating and taught her how to have more powerful orgasms. Wink

Agreed - this is an male only issue. If you need to take care of business - do so. I think this falls into the arena of "too much information"...stuff your spouse does not need to know. I wouldn't lie about it - but I certainly would not seek my wife's acceptance on this either!!

Female masturbation is pretty taboo. My gf masturbates more than I do, and all of her friends do it too. It's pretty hot to know she can please herself sexually, and helpful. If you need to bang the sausage more than twice a day, I think you need to talk to your wife about your unsatisfied sex life. Chances are that she feels the same.

Thats really a problem in your marriage....

Don't see this as a problem with ones marriage. Now if sex with your significant other is non-existant, then yeah you got a problem.

to men, masterbating is just a release of sexual tension. we could have sex with our wives or gf 5-6 times a week, but we would still need to please ourselves a couple of additonal times.

btw, aino. just curious, burlington vt?

It doesnot mean that we are dissatisfed with our wives or gfs. In some cases, it just means we need to do it more than they want to.

I was just curious of whether it was burlington vt. It is a very nice area of the world.

Hey Guys,
I too am a married guy who chokes the chicken on occassion. The problem is I do not use porn since I don't want it around the house. If I ask my wife if she wants to go at it and she says yes I'm instantly rock hard. This is not the case when I want to go at it with myself. In fact it shrinks. What do you guys do to get yourselves hard.
Also I fell guilty when it is over and also less of a man. Any suggestions? I guess my upbringing is getting in the way of me having a good time with myself. The sad thing is I home alone all day on Sat. I could go at without getting caught.
