Is size 14 too big to wear a bikini?

Hi Amy. Not to be mean or anything, but I'd say that in the vast majority of cases, size 14 and bikinis don't mix well.

My wife is a 10/12, and as much as I'm attracted to her, she would not look good in a bikini.

I'd have to ask why someone that size would even want to wear a bikini. There are some very sexy one piece suits that would look far better.

Not to be contrary on this, but I noticed Amy didn't say and no one asked this question. What kind of shape are you in, Amy? If you exercise regularly, paying attention to what you are eat, blah, blah, blah, then I would think you would be the best judge as to what you look good in.
I dated a 40+ redhead who is 6'2" and weighs 200 lbs and wears a double digit size also. She works out regularly, has just enough fat in all the right places, and she can put on her bikini and put any teenage or 20-something female to shame.
Our perception of a woman who wears a double digit size isn't always clear because we assume from past experience that said woman is fat/obese, doesn't take care of herself, thinks gravy is a soft drink, etc, ad infinitum. Since we can't see you (post picture here), we really can't be objective. My $.02.

I think you're on to something there ITC. It's similar to the BMI threads we've had. Body fat, body type, etc have to be considered.

btw, my wife pointed out that the "plus" sized model on the TV show "America's Next Top Model" is a size 8.
